To empower participants regarding ethical responsibilities towards the profession, child protection and plans for children in alternative care.

  • To keep abreast of the current trends, research and developments in the profession with different partners in social work/child protection.
  • To understand the legislation prescribing the plans for children in alternative care.
  • To understand the theory and application of child participation.
  • To understand the theoretical underpinnings when assessing children and compiling the plans.
  • To be empowered with knowledge regarding the different plans.
  • To enable participants to be able to compile plans for children in alternative care.
